A "Simple" ADHD Hack to Get More Done
(Without Working Harder)
Hey my fellow ADHDers,
Most productivity advice doesn’t work for ADHD entrepreneurs.
❌ “Just use a planner.”
(You’ve bought 10. None worked.)
❌ “Time block everything.”
(Yeah, right. Who sticks to that?)
❌ “Have more willpower.”
(If that worked, you wouldn’t be here.)
You don’t need more motivation—you need a system that works with your brain.

The ADHD brain 🧠
🎯 Here’s 1 simple ADHD-friendly hack that actually works:
(disclaimer: simple is usually NOT “easy” but gets easier over time with repetition)
“The Preview Method”
→ Pick one task you’ve been avoiding.
→ Set a 10-minute timer to start (not finish—just start. I like the phrase “take a peek, or “preview” it.)
→ Turn on a playlist or white noise.
→ Get yourself organized to “review” the task and map out what's involved. No pressure just a quick “preview” to set up the next worksession.
→ Work until the timer stops (or until 3 hrs suddenly pass and you realized you completed the task and 5 other things)
Why It Works:
✅ 10 minutes bypasses overwhelm. (Starting is the hardest part.)
✅ Music triggers focus mode.
(This is called a “context shift.”)
✅ No pressure to finish.
(But you usually will anyway.)
This is a strategy I've pushed myself to do for years now.
I can tell you that it becomes a habit and I don't even think about it anymore.
So while it may take time to do this regularly, it's totally worth it.
