How to stop feeling stuck with ADHD 🌀

99% of people with ADHD don't know this trick to break free from feeling stuck.

My client, let's call him Mike, knows this feeling all too well.

Mike is an entrepreneur with ADHD, bursting with innovative ideas and big dreams.

But he was constantly held back by the feeling of being utterly stuck.

Projects piling up, deadlines slipping by, and his motivation was shot.

He described it as:

🔸 Waking up with a heavy weight on his chest.

🔸 Staring at his to-do list and feeling completely overwhelmed.

🔸Knowing what he needed to do but unable to take action.

Sound familiar?

I've been helping Mike for a couple months now.

Here's what we worked on:

1. Identifying the root cause

↳ We dug deep to understand what was really holding him back.

↳ For Mike, it was a mix of fear of failure and perfectionism. Hugely common for us with ADHD.

2. Getting it out of your head

↳ The part we always overlook is getting the ideas out of our heads.

↳ What we did with Mike was simple. Every time he was unsure, he wrote every single possibility down on a whiteboard.

3. Work out what's a priority

↳ Look at everything you've just got out of your head and ask.

↳ Which of these have I got to do right now? The rest can wait.

↳ Remember: You will never have enough time to do everything. So relax and just pick one thing.

4. Listen to your body throughout

↳ Throughout these activities, I reminded Mike of the importance of listening to his body.

↳ When everything starts to feel tense. Take some slow deep breaths.

The Result?

✨ Mike reports feeling "invigorated by a new enthusiasm to work".

✨ By focusing on one small step at a time, he started completing projects that had been stalled for months.

✨ He felt genuinely confident. Each accomplishment reinforced his ability to succeed.

Here's the truth:

➡ Feeling stuck isn't a permanent state. It's a signal that something needs to change.

➡ Accept that you're feeling stuck without judgment. It's okay not to be okay.

➡ Choose one simple task you can complete today. Momentum builds from small actions.

➡ Recognize and appreciate each step forward, no matter how minor it may seem.

➡ Sometimes, talking to someone who understands can make all the difference.

I've been there too

Overcoming that stuck feeling isn't easy, but it's absolutely possible.

Remember, progress is progress, no matter how slow.

If you relate to Mike and you want to achieve a similar transformation…
