How to REALLY make habits stick with ADHD đź“Ś

Let’s talk about the real reason your habits aren’t sticking…

It’s not your tools. Its not because you're lazy. Its not even your ADHD.

It's the bullsh*t story you keep telling yourself.

"I'm always late."

"I just can't follow through on stuff."

"I'm just not an organized person."

These aren't observations - they're like prison bars you've built around yourself.

And every time you say them, you're building your own mediocrity.

Here's the harsh truth: Your habits aren't failing because of your ADHD.

They're failing because deep down, you're still clinging to your identity as someone who "can't."

Want to know what's more powerful than any productivity hack?

Changing how you describe yourself (internally and to other people) from "I'm trying to be organized" to "I AM organized."

Shifting "I want to be reliable" to "I AM reliable."

Think this sounds like some fluffy mindset BS?

Tell that to "Marcus" (fake name for privacy).

He spent years battling self-doubt and struggling with his identity as someone who "wasn’t good enough."

Every failure was proof in his mind that he just couldn’t succeed.

Then he made a small, yet significant change: He started telling himself a different story.

Not some grand transformation. Just tiny, almost insultingly-small changes.

Like setting one simple goal for the day. A goal that opposes what he currently thinks about himself.

But he did it while telling himself, "This is who I am now."

Three months ago, he could barely brush his teeth. Now he's taking on bigger challenges than any neurotypical person I know, let alone ADHDer.

Because he's not the same person.

The potential negative sides of ADHD aren't your identity unless you make them your identity.

Your past failures aren’t your future unless you keep clutching them like a security blanket.

Time to burn that old story. Time to become who you actually are beneath all that self-imposed negativity.
