🧠 She's impulsive. You too?

A trick we discussed for ADHD impulsivity.

Hey ADHD Entrepreneur,

Something interesting happened in our group coaching call today.

One of our members was wrestling with a client situation that had her frustrated.

She spent 5 minutes explaining all the details, but her question really boiled down to:

Do I address this now or wait?

As people with ADHD, waiting isn't exactly our superpower, is it?

Our impulse says: "FIX IT NOW. Send the email. Make the call. Clear the air!"

But here's what we walked through: She ultimately decided it wasn't the right time to address it.

Then another member shared a brilliant tactic that surprised even me:

"Schedule it in your calendar."

That's right. She literally scheduled when she would address the issue (aka when she would allow herself to get angry about it).

It sounds simple, but this creates distance between our emotional ADHD brain and our decision-making.

The crazy part is we would not have been able to realize this without the group coaching call.

These calls are what fuel me. And help to reiterate the mission of Accountable.

Not everything is a crisis situation.
Not every client relationship needs to operate at emergency speed.
