How Slowing Down Helped One Founder Raise Millions

A year ago, one of my clients came to me feeling completely stuck.
They had been working on their startup for several years,
had already raised venture capital,
but then hit a wall.
Giphy
For six months, they struggled to:
→ Get anything done
→ Reach out to investors
→ Hit their milestones
The pressure was immense, and raising fresh capital felt overwhelming.
So, we did something unexpected:
we slowed everything down
Instead of trying to tackle everything at once, we focused on:
→ Just one or two key things each week
→ Building new skills to help them organize and prioritize
→ Getting the gears moving again, one step at a time
Fast forward almost a year later, and the transformation is incredible:
→ They’ve raised several million dollars in funding
→ They’re ready to scale their business
→ And they feel completely empowered and in control
The lesson?
✨ Progress doesn’t always come from speeding up. Sometimes, the best way to move forward is by slowing down, focusing, and doing the work that truly matters.
