These 11 statements will change how you think about business 🚀

This past weekend,

I spent hours digging into all the notes I’ve ever taken from reading business books, calls with mentors, podcasts etc

(I really recommend doing this! mental refreshers super useful for resurfacing old knowledge)

I wanted to reconsolidate

So I thought I’d collate everything I’ve learned over the years into 11 statements that changed how I thought about business.

1) Success Is The Journey.

↳ Don’t just live for achieving your business goals. Those moments are fleeting.

↳ Fall in love with the journey and build systems to help your business succeed.

2) A Good Night’s Sleep Fixes Most Things.

↳ Smooth business operations require smooth life operations. Especially for solo founders.

↳ Good sleep solves 80% of your performance issues, resets your perspective, and leads to better decisions.

3) Find Your Direction Through Experimentation.

↳ Treat your business journey as a set of millions of experiments to find your direction.

↳ Choosing the right market is more important than hard work. Experiment with this rigorously.

4) Every Master Was Once a Beginner.

↳ Fail and learn consistently. Failure is the fastest way to grow.

↳ Every successful entrepreneur has failed more times than a beginner has even tried.

5) Need a Creativity Boost? Go for a Walk.

↳ Your best business ideas don’t come to you in a board meeting.

↳ They come from stepping away and gaining perspective.

6) It’s You vs. You.

↳ Comparison is the thief of joy. Focus on your own business progress.

↳ You've overcome every obstacle so far. What’s to say you can’t beat the next.

7) You Need Hard Work AND Smart Work.

↳ Learn from industry experts to help you work smart. Leverage is the key to success.

↳ Leverage the experiences of others—you’re rarely the first to do something.

8) Consistency wins. Always

↳ Consistency builds momentum. Momentum is progress.

↳ We can’t work 12 hour days every day. But small efforts on a consistent basis go a long way.

9) Your 100% Looks Different Every Day.

↳ Show up for your business. Raise the bar. Repeat.

↳ Don’t aim for perfection. Just show up even when it's hard.

10) Growth Requires Sacrifice.

↳ Sometimes you have to cut off an infection to grow back stronger. Even if infection is a big part of your business (e.g. key staff).

↳ The success you want lies in the hard work you're avoiding in your business. If you don’t wanna do something - its because you’re not confident.

11) You can make it. But don’t try and do it alone.

↳ The fastest way to get to the top is to get ongoing support from those who have already made it.

↳ You need someone to help you reveal the answers. You can’t do it alone.

That’s it.

This is my perspective as an ADHD Entrepreneur. This is what worked for me.

These lessons took me to building a six figure business over the past 24 months.

If you found this helpful.

And you also believe in #11.

I can help take you and your business to where its meant to be. At the top.

Let’s talk. Grab some time with me here.

Take care,

Ian
