What is RSD and how to Silence it.
Hey,
You know that pit in your stomach when you THINK someone's judging you?
That spiral of "Thanks ADHD, they hate me again" when someone takes 0.2 seconds too long to respond to your message?
That endless mental replay of that ONE awkward thing you said in that meeting last week?
That's not your imagination. That's not you being "too sensitive."
That's Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) punching you in the gut.
And if you've got ADHD, it's probably draining a boat load of energy from you right now.
Let me be crystal clear: Your brain is lying to you.
→ It's creating rejection scenarios that don't exist.
→ It's building criticism out of thin air.
→ It's stealing your energy with imaginary battles.
And you're letting it win.
But there is genuinely ways you can silence the little devil on your shoulder.
Meet Toby, one of my clients (real story, changed name for privacy).
This guy was spending so much of his day stuck in his own head, replaying conversations, reading into every damn email tone, creating entire rejection fantasies...
While the actual work he had to do to drive his business collected dust.
Sound familiar?
Here's the harsh truth: RSD isn't just messing with your emotions.
It's robbing you blind.
➝ Stealing your focus.
➝ Hijacking your energy and using it on things that don't move the needle forward.
➝ Destroying your confidence.
But here's where it gets good:
You can gradually start to become in control of that brain of yours.
There are strategies you can employ that get your brain to reflect on its own lies.
To catch it out on its BS.
Toby learned how…
It took months to get to where he is now. But it worked and that's what matters.
Now instead of spending hours wondering if his client hates him because they used a period instead of an exclamation mark, he's actually getting sh*t done.
Not because the RSD disappeared.
Because you can't eradicate these things.
But because he learned how to recognize when his brain was spinning bullsh*t stories.
And learned how to regain control of the ship when someone else is trying to steer it.
Ready to stop letting imaginary rejection run your life?
